The starting point for this project was a severely sloping lawn which was impractical for nearly any purpose. The brief was simple, transform the garden into a practical low maintenance garden. The design incorporated two levels; a wooden deck to the rear of the garden on an elevated platform, and a patio to the lower aspect. The job required a large amount of earth removal and a stair case to join the two areas.
